BROWN
Director/Producer
Jarred “Parson Brown” Hill is the director and founder of The
Topless America Project. In 2004 he left his mountainous home in
Bentonville, Virginia to study film at Columbia College Chicago.
While living there, he and his friends learned about Mountain
Top Removal and decided to take a stance against the mining
process and created The Topless America Project while in the
living room of his small apartment in Chicago’s South Loop. |

NICHOLAS
BROWN
Crew/Creative Consultant
Nick Brown, a graduate of Columbia College
Chicago, currently resides in Olatha, Kansas. Nick continually
makes his way to Chicago and to Appalachia in order to join the
fight against mountain top removal. His wealth of knowledge in
an array of subjects and his keen judgment are essential to the
making of this film. He is often referred to as “The Voice of
Reason”. |

CHRISTINA
BRIGHT
Producer
Christina’s experience with fundraising for films
and her knowledge of documentary filmmaking brings a sense of
stability to the group. Often she acts as a liaison between the
filmmaking and the activism aspects of the project. She
currently studies at Columbia College Chicago and has been
credited with many titles when it comes to film, including
director, cinematographer, and production designer. She recently
completed her work as the art director on a Columbia College
Practicum film entitled, Pirates & Pills. |

REAVES A.
WASHBURN
Co-Producer/ Director of Photography
Cinematographer, director and native Tennessean,
Reaves Avery Washburn, lends his magic eye to the production of
the film. Washburn was shocked when he found that mountain top
removal was taking place in his home state. His concerns for the
mountains of his homeland are as sincere as they come. He
currently attends Columbia College Chicago where studies film
with a concentration in cinematography. |

KAT WALLACE
Assistant Director
Kat is currently a
student at Columbia College Chicago studying film and arts
management. She is a writer, director and actor who branched
into the fascinating and fast paced world of Art Department. She
reaches out to projects which have a heart and a soul and she
fights for them to the very end. Working on documentaries with
such a purpose as Topless America only fires her up more and
gives her an opportunity to make a difference within our social
injustices, such as Mountain Top Removal.

MARY KROECK

Contact
Mary was born and raised in Chicago, IL. After attending City
University London and London College of Fashion in 2003 through
Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, Mary decided to transfer to
Columbia College Chicago. In 2007, she graduated with Honors and
received a B.A. in Theater/Journalism and minor in Photography.
She is a professional artist in the literary, visual and
performing arts fields. Mary currently works with several
non-profit organizations and does freelance work for local
publications.

LYNDSEY
SADLER
Chief of Research
Lyndsey is chief of research on this project and
the one who first brought Mountain Top Removal to the attention
of the group. She is the president and founder of the
Environmental Justice Organization at Columbia College, where
she currently studies management. Her high energy and enthusiasm
has been crucial in the team’s fight against mountain top
removal.

HAUSCHILD
Misc. Crew
Blake Hauschild hails from Morris, a small farm
town in Illinois. He is a genuine Illinois farm boy and a
Chicago underground socialite all at the same time. He now
studies film at Columbia College Chicago and loves getting
behind the camera.

STEPHANIE
TASH
Music Coordinator/ Assistant Producer
Stephanie Tash, known simply as “Stash” by her
friends, is a singer and songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri.
She became involved with The Topless America Project while
studying music at Columbia College Chicago. She currently
studies music business at Harold Washington College in Chicago.
Stephanie has a very vibrant personality and is a great
communicator. She is the music coordinator as well as a creative
consultant for the Topless America Project.

AMY OMERNIK
Misc. Crew
An alumni of Columbia College Chicago, Amy
Omernik has been part of the Topless America team since its
founding. She is a spirited activist and organizer.
